This book represents a real good time for me and my family, made between the 2003-04 year. I was drawing a lot, at work on the train at home etc. It was also the year of our sons birth.

When I travel I often take gessoed paper and insert it in my sketchbook, I also take a travel size acrylic set. But I did this in California from a black and white L.A. times photo.

Bodega on Montrose
We lived on Montrose ave off the L train stop in Brooklyn during this time. I would stop at this bodega for a morning coffee, that is until the Columbian bakery opened up across the street.

I made a lot of drawings of my wife breast feeding, it was a good time to draw .
